Buying and restoring Vaava Plus
What happens when you buy Plus or change phones.
Apple or Google handles your Vaava Plus purchase. Restoring that purchase, restoring your baby history, and inviting a partner are separate steps. This guide explains which one you need.
Buying Plus
Vaava Plus costs €14.99 once through the App Store or Google Play. Prices may vary by country, platform, and local taxes. The purchase does not renew, and you do not need a Vaava account.
Before buying, compare Free and Plus. Everyday tracking, CSV export, and local Wi-Fi sharing remain free.
Restoring Plus on a new phone
Use the same App Store or Google Play account that you used to buy Plus. Open Vaava and use Restore Purchases to restore the upgrade.
An iPhone purchase restores on another iPhone; an Android purchase restores on another Android phone. Store purchases do not currently transfer between iPhone and Android.
Restoring a purchase does not restore your baby logs. If you enabled Family Data Sharing, your recovery key restores your Vaava identity and family access. Keep that key safe outside your phone. See the family setup and recovery instructions.
Sharing Plus with your family
One Plus purchase covers the family owner and up to nine invited members. The owner enables Family Data Sharing and sends an invitation. Invited members receive Plus access without buying it separately, and the family can include iPhone and Android devices.
A family invitation is different from restoring a store purchase. Your partner joins through the invitation rather than signing into your store account. How to invite a partner or caregiver.
You can also share logs on local Wi-Fi for free. Local Wi-Fi pairing does not enable Plus family backup or sharing over the internet.
Trials and refunds
The free tracker is not a trial. The optional seven-day Plus trial ends without turning into a subscription. You can keep using the free features afterward.
Plus does not renew, so there is nothing to cancel. If you want a refund for a purchase, request it through Apple or Google under their store policies. Vaava cannot issue store refunds directly.

Does restoring Plus also restore my baby history?
No. Restore Purchases restores the upgrade. Restoring your Vaava identity and family access uses your recovery key if you enabled Family Data Sharing. Keep a copy of the key outside your phone.
Can I move a Plus purchase from iPhone to Android?
Not through store purchase restoration. Purchases restore on the platform where you bought them. Family invitations work across iPhone and Android and give invited members Plus access.
Is there a free trial that turns into a subscription?
No. The optional seven-day Plus trial ends without a recurring charge. The free tracker keeps working after the trial ends.
Do both parents have to pay?
No. Local Wi-Fi sharing is free. For Plus family access, one purchase covers the owner and up to nine invited members. Your partner joins through a family invitation.
How do I restore Vaava Plus on a new phone?
Restore the purchase through the App Store or Google Play using the same store account you bought it with. Platform-to-platform restore, iPhone to Android or the reverse, is not available yet.
